The Mute was a character introduced during Season 4 of Teen Wolf. He was a mouthless professional assassin whose weapon of choice was a military grade tomahawk.
Throughout Teen Wolf[]
In Muted, he broke into the house of the Walcott family, a family of Wendigos, and murdered David, Michael and Christina Walcott as they slept. Seeing Sean at the end of the hall, The Mute threw his tomahawk toward him and it went through the door. Sean hid in his bathroom. As The Mute entered, he offered Sean a chance to fight back, explaining that he should grab a piece of glass and fight for his life; however, Sean instead decided to run. The Mute kicked open the door, but Sean had already escaped through the window.
The Mute went back to his hideout and turned on his laptop, while at the same time, opening up a plug in his neck. He inserted a tube into the hole and turned on an unidentified machine that began pumping red liquid into him. As he did that, a code appears on his laptop screen. Later that night, The Mute found Sean at Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital and killed him as he fought Scott McCall.
In The Benefactor, he broke into Derek's loft to wait for Derek; however, Peter Hale showed up first. The Mute stabbed Peter in the chest with the tomahawk and approached him, saying that Derek was next. According to Peter, as The Mute tried to finish him off, he was able to tear off its communicator. The device was then given to Sheriff Stilinski and Jordan Parrish. They discovered that The Mute was an assassin paid to kill The Walcotts. After losing to Peter, The Mute set a trap for Derek at Beacon Hills High School. He put together a bomb that was meant to explode and kill Derek, but this plan failed. The Mute was forced to engage Derek in hand-to-hand combat. He was disarmed, but before he could be place under arrest, Peter unexpectedly showed up and tore The Mute apart with his claws.
In Time of Death, The Mute appeared several times during Scott's dream. He stabbed Liam Dunbar in the back with his tomahawk. Liam pleaded for Scott to help him, but he didn't. Instead, The Mute put his finger over his mouth in a shushing motion, and then struck Liam once again with the tomahawk. The dream restarted, as Scott was looking in a mirror, examining his fangs, and The Mute says "evolving". Scott turned around to see that The Mute had killed Liam yet again. After the dream restarted for a third time, Scott was given the bloody tomahawk. The Mute grabbed Scott's arm and showed him how to use it.
