La Iglesia was a mexican church that was built on top of the Temple of Tezcatlipoca, which was underground. Kate Argent used the area as a base in Season 4. Kate also used the temple to turn back Derek's age and to make Scott a Berserker.
Peter and Scott had their second battle in the church.
