Season 6 of MTV's hit show, Teen Wolf, will be the final one. Like the 5th season, season 6 will consist of 20 episodes. Instead of telling a single story line, the season will be broken down into two arcs (6A and 6B) that are loosely connected.
The premiere of the sixth season aired on November 15, 2016. The show aired its first five episodes of season 6, but took a short two-week hiatus for the Christmas holidays after. The remaining episodes then continued to air on MTV on January 3, 2017.
After the release of the first official trailer during Comic Con on July 21, 2016, show-runner and executive producer Jeff Davis announced to fans that this will be the last season of the show.
On October 26, 2016, it was announced that Tyler Posey will be directing the thirteenth episode of the sixth season.

New Threat
- Nazi Werewolf to cause trouble
Teen Wolf" season 6 will feature three new villains but one of them has already made an appearance on the show.
Series showrunner Jeff Davis told TVLine that the being that crawled out of the machine during the show's season 5 finale will return in season 6 to cause trouble.
"That was the Nazi werewolf," Davis said. "I can absolutely confirm that the soldier has left the machine and will be a part of season 6, a threat."
The producer continued: "It was something we were planning for a while, and we weren't sure if we were going to use that final shot, but once we started shooting season 6, we figured we might as well use it."
