The friendship between Beta Werewolf Liam Dunbar and Werewolf-Werecoyote Chimera Theo Raeken.
Theo returned to Beacon Hills for the first time in nearly a decade. After helping Scott and his packmates defeat the Garuda Chimera Belasko, he introduced himself to Malia Tate, Liam and Kira Yukimura as a former classmate of Scott McCall and Stiles Stilinski from fourth grade and a recently turned Werewolf, who apparently returned with the sole purpose of joining to Scott's pack upon hearing rumors of his True Alpha ascension. Everyone, excluding Stiles, who was extremely suspicious of Theo's return, seemed willing to accept him.
However, Theo was soon revealed to be a Werewolf-Werecoyote Chimera and was secretly allied with the Dread Doctors, the parascientists who turned him into what he is today when he was nine or ten years old after transplanting Theo's sister Tara's heart into his chest in an attempt to turn him into a suitable vessel for the legendary Werewolf The Beast of Gevaudan but it was unsuccessful and Theo became a "successful failure". He and the Doctors had made a deal: while Theo kept Scott and the McCall Pack away from their plans in creating more Chimeras in order to find a suitable vessel for the Beast, they would help him achieve his goal: become a real Werewolf and Alpha of the McCall Pack.
Throughout Season 5A, Theo manipulated and turned each member of the McCall Pack against Scott and each other, with Malia being the easiest to manipulate due to his coyote side and breaking Scott and Stiles' friendship by lying to Scott about Donovan Donati's death at Stiles' hands, making it seem like a cold-blooded murder when Stiles actually acted in self-defense. In the night of the supermoon, Theo took advantage of Liam's anger towards Scott and his fear of the impending death of his girlfriend, Hayden Romero, and manipulated the young Beta into killing his own Alpha, convincing him that it would allow him to save Hayden's life, with Liam not knowing that Theo needed to Liam become an Alpha so he could steal the power for himself afterwards. Luckily, Mason snapped Liam out of his supermoon-enhanced rage before he could deliver the killing blow and convinced Liam to leave to see Hayden, who died as a result of her mercury poisoning, one last time. Furious, Theo killed Scott himself, ruining his only chance to become an Alpha Werewolf but Scott's motherMelissa later revived him through CPR and the supermoon's power. As a "consolation prize", Theo brought Hayden and three fellow deceased Chimeras Tracy Stewart, Josh Diaz and Corey Bryant back from the dead through the Dread Doctors' green serum and declared the newly resurrected Chimeras his pack and declared himself as their "Alpha", even though he wasn't neither an Alpha nor a true Werewolf.
After the events of the supermoon, Liam was soon able to fix his bond with his Alpha and the other members of his pack. After only needing to get Lydia out of Eichen House, he and the rest of his packmates reluctantly allied with Theo and his Chimera Pack so they could get pass the Mountain Ash barriers of the institution and successfully save Lydia from dying from Gabriel Valack's trephination. Meanwhile, Theo heard that the Dread Doctors' sole successful Chimera, Mason Hewitt, who happened to be none other than Liam's best friend, had become the perfect vessel for the Beast and planned to steal its powers for his own ends. He managed to capture the Augmented Alpha Deucalion and get his hands on Belasko's Garuda Talons, which he planned to use to absorb the Beast's powers, through a deal made with the Desert Wolf. However, he quitted the idea of using the talons upon hearing Deucalion's warning that they could kill him due to organ rejection but learned through the Demon Wolf how to steal his kind's powers and did just that to Josh and Tracy, killing them and stealing their respective powers in the process. After Theo failed to take the Beast's power thanks to Deucalion and Scott's alliance, Theo tried to kill everyone present, including Liam, for vanquishing the Beast but Kira used her sword to summon Theo's sister, who dragged him into a sinkhole where his status remains unknown.
Three months after his defeat, Theo was released from his prison by Liam and Hayden, who needed the eletromagnokinetic powers he stole from Josh to help them lure a Ghost Rider and learn from the Wild Hunt what they wanted. It was revealed he lost the powers he stole from Josh and Tracy during his imprisonment in hell but still could help due to his knowledge of the Wild Hunt from the Dread Doctors. Although still distrusted by the members of the McCall Pack for his past screw-ups, Theo proved to be a necessary ally due to his knowledge of the Alpha Löwenmensch, Garrett Douglas, and helped the McCall Pack realize that Douglas desired the Wild Hunt as his personal supernatural army. He also sacrificed himself to save Liam during their battle against the Ghost Riders in the Hospital and again to help Scott's first Beta get one of the Riders' horses to travel to Phantom Train Station. Finally, he joined Scott, Malia and Peter Hale in one last showdown against Douglas and his army, which ended with Douglas becoming an eternal member of the Wild Hunt himself.
In Season 6B, Theo continued to help the McCall Pack in facing against the massive army of Werewolf Hunters, who were just ordinary people who had been influenced by the ancient fear-inducing shapeshifter Anuk-ite that escaped from Phantom Train Station, and their leaders, Tamora Monroe and Gerard Argent. He continued to help Liam in not succumbing to his anger and prevent him from killing anyone, as per Scott's code of conduct, because of his struggles in maintaining control over his lycanthropy as a result of the Anuk-ite's influence. In the finale, he fought along with Liam, Mason and Corey against the Hunters at the Hospital and absorbed Gabe's pain in a good gesture before he died from the gunshots he sustained in their battle, marking the first time he used his pain siphoning powers for a good reason. In the end, Theo was shown to have redeemed himself and become an ally of the McCall Pack as Scott considered one of Beacon Hills' protectors.
Theo and Liam are also known as Thiam by fans.

In Creatures of the Night, as Theo came to help Scott and Kira, Liam along with Stiles and Malia appears too. As Belasko is defeated and runs away, Theo introduces himself and he says he heard that Scott had become a True Alpha.
In Ouroboros, Theo goes to save Liam and Hayden from the Dread Doctors.
In Lies of Omission, as Theo says to Scott that Stiles killed Donovan on purpose (as he's lying to separate the Pack), he helps Liam and Scott fight the Doctors to protect Hayden but Hayden gets injected with mercury anyway.
In Status Asthmaticus, as Theo is separating, even more, Scott's pack, he manipulates Liam to kill Scott but as his plan fails he kills Scott himself to save Hayden, but even he wasn't an Alpha, he used a special serum to resurrect Hayden, Tracy Stewart, Josh Diaz and Corey as his pack.
In Codominance, Scott travels to Shiprock, New Mexico with Stiles to get Kira and her mother and told Liam to do not do anything until he's back. As he sees Theo with Hayden in the school, Mason warns him to do not get involved. As Scott returns with Kira and Noshiko to Beacon Hills, Liam and Mason got an information from Corey that Theo is looking for a blind alpha and Scott says that must be Deucalion.
In Amplification, after hearing Scott's plans of getting Lydia out of Eichen House from Corey, Theo decides to help the McCall Pack with the Mountain Ash barriers and he actually also wanted Lydia so he could get to Parrish who could guide him to The Beast.
In The Beast of Beacon Hills, after killing Josh, gaining his electromagnokinetic powers and finding the identity of The Beast, Theo allies with Scott and Liam to find Mason, who was captured by The Dread Doctors, he reveals to them that The Doctors used a Nazi Alpha Werewolf called Der Soldat which means German for "the soldier" to expand their lives. After arriving at The Doctors' new lair, they find Mason hooked to the tube of Der Soldat and The Doctors appeared. The Surgeon calls Theo a failure for repeating the same mistake again and again and says he and his comrades learned from Theo that true evil only comes by corrupting something truly good. He fights The Dread Doctors and Liam joins him but Mason then turns into The Beast and reaps apart the Doctors.
In Apotheosis, after killing Tracy and gaining her Kanima powers, Theo provides on his final chance to absorb The Beast's power. He shocks Deucalion, Scott, and Liam using Josh's power and uses the Kanima Venom to paralyze Scott. As he fails to get The Beast's power he's shocked that Deucalion was working with Scott the entire time and gets his neck snapped. After The Beast is killed and Mason is saved, he tries to kill them all for ruining his chance to get the power and Kira use her sword to summon Theo's sister and the spirit drags Theo into the sinkhole Kira created.
In Ghosted, Liam and Hayden were losing options how to lure a Ghost Rider by absorbing enough lightning. Liam proposed use Josh because he ate electricity but Josh was dead and Kira left to train with the Skinwalkers. The couple had to get Theo back from his prison and use the electrokinetic powers he stole from Josh. After getting Kira's sword from Noshiko Yukimura, Liam uses it to free Theo, who climbs up from the hole and partially shifts before attacking Liam. Theo asks where his sister is, they explain he killed her. Theo angrily proclaims that he's going to kill them all. Liam instead of sending him back to the prison, explains what Kira's sword can do. Theo met with Garret Douglas in another part of the tunnels and Theo grabs a lightning rod and gets shocked. Liam and Hayden realize he doesn't have Josh and Tracy's powers anymore which led him to say he did just put them back the way he found them. He asks for Scott and Stiles which surprises both Liam and Hayden since Stiles was erased from their memories but not from Theo's. Later in Scott's house, Theo explains they can't bring Stiles back from the Wild Hunt, he explains the Riders take someone and go away with that person. Scott arrives home and is shocked to see Theo in his kitchen. Malia also comes in, partially shifts and attacks the chimera.
In Heartless, after Malia beats Theo. Scott and Liam talk to each other. Scott says that Theo can't be trusted. He reminds his Beta that Theo manipulated him in order to kill Scott but he did that himself and reminds that he killed Tracy, Josh and his sister Tara as well. Liam says that using Theo might be a mistake but Scott also did mistakes while learning to be an Alpha.If they want Stiles back they have to use everything they have. They create a trap for a Ghost Rider in the Dread Doctors' lab in the woods. Parrish arrives a few minutes later and tries to free the rider but Scott and Liam manage to stop him and Theo is able to restore the mountain ash barrier to prevent the rider from escaping. Garret Douglas arrives at the lab and shifts to his werewolf form and threats Theo to tear him in half if he doesn't break the barrier. Theo, for his life, breaks it and Douglas kills the rider with just one hand and his powerful fangs and eats its pineal gland.
In Blitzkrieg, Liam, Hayden, and Mason are in the Sheriff's station with Theo locked in a cell. They talk about Mr. Douglas being able to kill a Ghost Rider. Theo proposes to tell them everything he knows about Douglas if they break Kira's sword because of its the only way to send him back underground. Liam breaks it and they start to hear Theo. Theo explains that Douglas is actually a Löwenmensch, a creature half wolf, half lion, and says that he and other soldiers confronted the Ghost Riders once in the woods and the riders use their guns to erase the soldiers and before escaping Douglas was hit by their whip. To heal his wound, Douglas met the Dread Doctors but instead of helping him they hooked Douglas to a tube and used his healing factor to expand their lives for the followed 70 years and now Douglas wants the Wild Hunt as his own army. A Ghost Rider arrives and erases Mason which causes Liam to fight for the loss of his best friend but Hayden decides to let them take her as he wants Liam to keep with Scott.
In Memory Found, Liam and Theo are trapped at the hospital, trying their hardest not to get captured by the Ghost Riders.

In Pressure Test, Theo enters the room in the sheriff's office where the pack was, saying it wasn’t his responsibility to protect the two beta werewolves, prompting Liam to sarcastically offer to kill him. Theo stays with the pack, sticking by Liam the entire time they’re in the Sheriff’s station, before ultimately grudgingly agreeing to help them fight their way out (after unsuccessfully trying to convince Liam that they needed to escape, leaving the two Betas to fend for themselves). Theo also seems privy to Liam’s mental state, picking up on his anxiety at seeing Brett’s jersey number. Commenting, “it’s working” while looking at Liam after Lydia says “They’re [the Hunters] trying to rattle us”. When Theo and Scott attempt to trick the Hunters with bodies they try and pass off as the two betas, Liam looks concerned for them as he looks on with Malia. At the end of the episode, after they strike a deal with the Hunters, Theo and Liam stay beside each other, sharing a loaded look as they leave with the rest of the pack.
In Triggers, Liam and Theo act as bait for the Hunters.
